Dr. Diego Valdez (M.D) is a Spanish Orthopedic surgeon. Internationally recognized shoulder and sports medicine specialist with more than 15 years of experience and more than 3500 surgical procedures performed.

Dr Diego used to lead the Shoulder and Arthroscopy department at a Level 1 University Hospital for more than 6 years and became an Associate University professor for Rovira I Virgili University.

Member of multiple shoulder scientific societies, he is performing the latest arthroscopic surgical techniques for treating the most common shoulder problems including rotator cuff tears and shoulder dislocation or for complex cases including tendon transfers and biological augmentation using collagen patches.

Extensive experience in Shoulder Replacement for primary as well as revision complex cases using the latest A.I. tools with Computer Assisted Navigation software to achieve the best clinical results.

More than 10 years treating young athletes as a Sports Medicine surgeon for Catalan Sports Federation including football, basketball and volleyball players with excellent clinical results and high return to sports index.
